A Kraft notebook with a handprinted linocut cover inspired by and created on the Isle of Islay, off the west coast of Scotland.
This notebook is A6 in size, with 40 pages (20 sheets). The cover is 80% recycled using reclaimed coffee cups, and contains 140gsm Cartridge Paper created also from single use coffee cups, made in the UK.
Wet Meadow – The Oa, Islay
Here on the Oa we have numerous wet meadows, in late spring they burst into life with a stunning array of colours. This design was sketched whilst sitting in a wet meadow one Saturday morning on the Oa in June 2020, near to Lenavore. This print contains amongst others, ragged robin, meadow sweet, buttercup, horsetail and cranesbill.
After sketching, we transfer the design onto lino, before carving and printing. Every notebook is hand printed and therefore unique.
