A Kraft notebook with a handprinted linocut cover inspired by and created on the Isle of Islay, off the west coast of Scotland.
This notebook is A6 in size measuring 105mmx145mm. The cover is 300 gsm Kraft paper and there are 40 double sided lined pages of 80 gsm paper.
Tufted Vetch (Vicia cracca)
A beautiful purple member of the pea family that grows in pockets on the road verges and meadows here on The Oa, Islay. Their branched twisting tendrils grab onto the surrounding grasses for support.
This Tufted Vetch was sketched on a quiet Oa roadside near our home. After sketching we then transfer the design onto lino and carve it with a fine tool.
Every notebook is hand printed and therefore unique.
