A hand printed linocut card inspired by and created on the Isle of Islay off the west coast of Scotland.
This card is blank inside for your own message and measures 172mm x 122mm. The card is made from good quality 300g recycled paper and comes with a brown Kraft envelope.
Marsh Cinquefoil (Comarum palustre)
A deep maroon star shaped flower, Marsh Cinquefoil is a relative of the strawberry. Here on The Oa, Islay we find it in the wettest and boggiest areas often close to rivers and lochs.
This Marsh Cinquefoil was sketched on the Oa in June, 2020 near the banks of Abhainn na Fainge Duibhe. After sketching we then transfer the design onto lino and carve it with a fine tool. Every card is hand printed and therefore unique. We use vegetable oil-based inks and our cards and envelopes are made from recycled paper and packaged in recycled tissue paper.
