A hand printed linocut card inspired by and created on the Isle of Islay off the west coast of Scotland.
This card is blank inside for your own message and measures 172mm x 122mm. The card is made from good quality 300g recycled paper and comes with a brown Kraft envelope.
Honeysuckle
Honeysuckles grow wild with abundance amongst the scrub in many parts of Islay and indeed the UK. Their sweet smelling fragrance in the summer months is just delightful. Home to bees through the day and moths at night - honeysuckles really do tick many boxes for a wildlife friendly garden providing a dense tangle ideal for nesting birds and juicy berries later in the season.
This honeysuckle was sketched from a plant we have in our garden. After sketching the design is transferred onto lino and carved with a fine tool. Every card is individually hand printed and therefore subtly unique. We use vegetable oil-based inks and our cards and envelopes are made from recycled paper and packaged in recycled tissue paper.
