Curlew - Original Linoprint

An original linoprint of a curlew. These beautiful elegant wading birds, breed on the moorland fringe near our home on the Oa in the south west corner of Islay off the west coast of Scotland.

We sketch the bird and then transfer the design to a linoblock before carving with a fine tool. Each piece is individually hand printed and therefore subtly unique. We use vegetable oil-based inks and 300gsm Snowden Paper.

This print is presented either as stand alone on A5 paper (printed area 150x100) or in an ivory/white mount measuring 10x8 inches.
